‘Honoring My Truth’ Journal for Self-Love with Vintage Aesthetic

The ‘Honoring My Truth’ journal was really fun to design. I wanted to create a journal for self-love with a vintage aesthetic. I wanted it to look like an old worn, cracked leather book and I’m proud that I achieved it despite the journal being made from a highly durable, hard laminated cover. 

This journal design celebrates a couple of my favorite things: antiquing and used bookstores. I collect antique glassware, jewelry, and brooches. I’ve been known to upcycle old furniture too! And while my partner also loves used bookstores, he collects ancient coins and antique books, maps, and art. Our home is full of old things that bring us so much joy and comfort, so I wanted to design something to share that part of myself. 

In The Divine Feminine Spellbook: Spiritual Decor Collection, I played a lot with fun, vintage prints, so I felt that I needed to journal for self-love that carried a similar vibe. 

Honoring My Truth, I couldn’t think of more perfect words to go on this cover. I’m eccentric. I’m a multi-passionate artist, I don’t like when things match too well or fit in perfect little boxes, yet clutter disrupts my energy. A big part of my brand’s mission is to let you know that no matter how offbeat you might be, you’ve gotta bask in it, love it, and don’t worry about people’s opinions or how they’ll label you. 

When you honor your truth, the people and things that support you and help you thrive will be magnetized to you! When we pick up habits like people-pleasing and watering ourselves down to satisfy others, we end up feeling miserable. 

Trust me, I conformed in many ways for many years. No more!
